Hi , Im new to the forums so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:0

ok, heres my dilema. I do 3d modeling, and graphic design stuff(logos, etc), usually i just set up a specific price for the stuff i do.
But I have recently been called to do a cover(and maybe the whole thing...) for a small local magazine. Ive never done this type of job before officially, although i do know how to use publisher, quark etc., but I dont have the slightest idea as to how to price the job. Do I take into consideration the distribution itself and if so for how much? Do i set a price , something like 20/hr,for the creation process and if so would that be too little or too much depending on the sales of that magazine? any reply would be Greeeeatly appreciated:) thx!

I think 20/hr would be fine for a starter artist, the more professional guys usually charge more than that but thats a good rate to get your name out there. I think anyway....
