I don't believe so.

But I do agree that Kork is pretty sweet! We need a Korkette.

So what about textures, DIFs, other DTSs, Skies?

I'm not including any of the ones that ship with the engine in my game, but a lot of people use the original terrain textures and the trees are fairly good.

If it's possible to use those, I don't see why it's not possible to use Kork... unless there's some additional licensing that I've not seen or fully understood.

Thinking about it, using Kork as a character in a game would be a little unimaginative if used as a main character, but he could have a cameo part in a game.. an in-joke, maybe a secret somewhere.. find Kork, get free goodies.. but this wouldn't be possible if we're not allowed to use Kork as a character, only as a placeholder for the real game art later.

What about the blue guy who shipped with 1.2?

I asked a similar question a while back, I wanted to use Kork in a startup video, and was told by GG staff this wasn't a problem.

You paid for the engine, you receive an fps startup kit with the engine, in this startup kit is a Kork model, so what's stopping you from using him???
