Upgrades...

I'm planning an upgrade to my PC in the near future (Wow, PCIe made a sneak attack!).
I wanted to get others thoughts on the components. I have an AMD Athlon64 +3000 754 that I don't want to waste (Its a good, clean, cool processore - perfect for myself) and because of this I have a limited range of Mobo's using Nforce 4 chipsets becuase of 939/940.

I found this motherboard From EPoX and was thinking about getting a X1600 like this.

EDIT: Also, is it possible to make 3DMark06 give a score of more than 1120 without an Ageia PhysX card?

Here This is a good one, I looked at the one you have linked and to me...
That just doesn't have enough memory slots and doesn't really support that big of processor.
The link is to a motherboard combo, at tiger direct. It supports Pentium 4 processor (Although the combo comes with a celeron), and supports 4gb of memory.
Its good enough to do what ever you need, plus you can buy the memory for it there at tiger direct or at new egg.

I kinda wanted to stay away from Intel, plus I don't want to waste my eleven-month old A64 3000

Fyi, i think you have to use an nforce 939, as your cpu wont work with socket 940.

i bought a Asus A8N-VM CSM reciently, and i think it's great.
