I am very pleased to tell you that the version of quark/wine which works with linux is avalaible and supported.

QUARK : Map editing tool for creating game maps for most popular quake based games including Half-Life, RTCW , the Crystal Space engine and TORQUE engine

In january when I bought torque I told you that I install wine/quark and after some fixes it works on linux.

After this post, I have been in close contact with cDundee who leads the developpement and I integrate the quark team in order to help them in linux area.

This version works on linux with torque (I mainly test that)

QUARK download:
sourceforge.net/projects/quark/

WINE : Quark works with WINE 0.9.7 and previous one.

I can not believe that : I just download the new wine version 0.9.8 and wine crashes when quark is launched.

I reinstall wine 0.9.7 and it works : hopefully.

I have no chance :( ...

for you information, bug opened on wine : bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4599

In other news, GtkRadiant went GPL. Someone else posted the news in their blog/.plan.

I grabbed it and have built it under linux, although I'm having problems getting it to run as it relies on game packs to define your games and it doesn't come with any. I'm looking forward to having something native under linux. If GtkRadiant works, great. If Constructor ever makes it out the door and works, even better, :-).

I raised a wrong issue with quark : it works well

The issue come from that I used a wine version not yet supported by ubuntu distribution.

Also check with this link the wine version supported by your linux ditribution :
