Mech comes along nicely so it's time to start next model for this set.
I've been thinking about modifying classical story taken from "The Thing" movie- moving timeline a bit forward and replacing arctic lab with a frozen planet. To be honest- just one more excuse to creat heavy and bulky environmental suit with flamers built on them and try how they will look in gaming engine. Stil learning how to use digital paints (not my favourite tool, really).

Yep, I love Maschine Krieger (BTW- on my site there is 3d version of MAK Fireball- requires JAVA to display)- although this one was not " conciously" inspired- I wanted to make something more in style of heavy technical equipment of russian army rescue teams. I bet my head is just overloaded with things I saw and no matter how I try similiarities appear.www.rkgalery.com/Models/MAK.html
