Of exporting and converting

To all of the other Sibelius users out there, I have a question about exporting music to .wav files. Have you ever had it so all of the .wav files created have about 2 seconds of silence at the end of each exported file? I ask this because it can get in the way of when the track is supposed to repeat itself. I went into Sound Recorder and lopped off the 2 seconds, but thhe transition sounds a little messy still. If anyone had this problem, could you offer any suggestions?
Also, too, the .wav files are really quite big (7 MB or so for a 0:40 file). Is there any free conversion software you could recommend? I've searched for some, but most of the "free" conversion software are trial versions.
Any advice in the above areas would be most helpful.
Thank you.

Use that to lop the end off, and then export it to .ogg format. ogg's are smaller then wav's and hte engine supports them.
