Commercial license Code Base Difference ?

by Areal Person · in Torque Game Engine · 02/16/2006 (12:41 pm) · 6 replies

Ok, if I pay the $100.00 for the indie lic. What does it mean

- Limit 1 per customer.
Download Size: 51.9MB

I can only download it one time ? I know I'm only buying one license.

Also, is the code base/software bundle any different from the
Commercial license ?

Thanks,

There is no difference in the code bundle. Basically, the reason there is a limit to 1 per customer is because it is tied to YOU rather than to a floating seat.

Technically, if you wanted to support GG, you could probably buy more than 1...but you can't give them away to anyone else or anything.

Just so you're clear, you can download it as much as you want, but the only person who can legally access the code is _you_.

I don't understand what that means, I can move it to another machine right.

cause I can't use it on the one I must download it from ?

Thanks,

You can download it anywhere to any PC, as long as you're the only one who accesses it and uses it.

A floating seat is basically tied to a programming position. So, say you have a programmer who quits and moves to Idaho, you can hire another programmer who can utilize the "seat".

You must have a commercial license to do this.
