TGE linux 1.3.0 and windows 1.4.0

The linux version of TGE is 1.3 and the windows version of TGE is 1.4
what are the difference between the both versions ?

1.4 has not been ported to linux yet. There is an active discussion about it on the private linux forums, though.

Yes, definitely that one.... one of the biggests threads I've seen here & has been quite productive in its results.

The forum thread David mention's is very active (400+ thread posts) and has been utilized to find and fix many issues with TGE 1.4 (1.4.1) on the linux platform.

I tossed a SDK and DEMO installer to GG yesterday evening, if it passes their internal tests it will be added to the downloads section and hopefuly a blog entry posted ;)The forum thread David mention's is very active (400+ thread posts) and has been utilized to find and fix many issues with TGE 1.4 (1.4.1) on the linux platform.

Most or all of the changes for linux are available via CVS right now. The only thing I know wasn't there a few days ago was a patch I made for a bug I found tha only affected TGE running on certain types of file systems.
As far as 1.3 vs. 1.4, see GG's news posting as to the changes. 1.4 is definitely a nice step, although I don't think the news item really does justice to the update.

Yeah, Ron has done some great work getting 1.4 up and running under linux. Its very close and those of us testing have had generally good results with it. Its working fine for me now under SuSE 9.3 and mostly only font issues now for those still having problems.Most or all of the changes for linux are available via CVS right now. CVS is the versioning control system they [used to] use for Torque. Back in 2006, we had direct access to it; that's not the case any more.
