TLK with dif

Is there a way to NOT get TLK lights to affect dif files?
My dif files already have light entites generating lightmaps, and only want the TLK to light up other objects like dts files.

TLK i think makes changes to every light, including sun light, and interior lighting.
When my brother and i installed it, it made everything very bright, we now have to set ambience to 0 on all lights, it looks better.
