MBU on 360 - Problem with leaderboards

It seems that the "friends" portion of the leaderboards is not working properly. See this thread for further details.

Any ideas?

Just wanted to add that I'm having this problem as well. I've got friends (that were already on my list before I got this game) and none of their scores show up on my leaderboard.
#3
The issue is that my friend's list is blank in this game although there are people on my friend's list that tell me they've beat my score and I can't verify. As for whether they've accepted my friend's request, they work in other games and I even have 2 profiles on this same 360 so it's easy for me to log out and go to the other profile to ensure that it's accepted.
One of those profiles is a silver membership for my wife and the leaderboards work fine there. Mine is a gold membership and I have the problem.
I re-downloaded the game over top of itself as someone suggested in the xbox.com forums but that didn't work. I then moved the game to a memory card and re-downloaded the game to my hard drive. That also didn't solve the problem.
I hope some of this may help in narrowing down the problem. I can only imagine how much more fun the game is when you can compare times with friends.
Thanks.

Hi Pat, I'm one of the affected users with this problem and I've posted to the forums at xbox.com. Someone there posted a link to this thread so I signed up to post my findings in case it helps narrow down the problem. The issue is that my friend's list is blank in this game although there are people on my friend's list that tell me they've beat my score and I can't verify. Trying to look into it.

Just on a hunch, I deleted both the memory card and hard drive copies so I had none at all and then re-downloaded a 3rd time but I still have the glitch while my wife's profile on the same machine is fine.

That wouldn't solve the issue, there is nothing wrong with the box. There is a problem with the game, probably, when it gets the friends list from Live.

I am also an affected user. :'( Even though I know a few people on my Friends List have and are playing the game (and I've played Multiplayer against them), none of them show on the Friends List scoreboard.

Hi Pat, I'm wondering if this is something that's being looked at getting resolved or if we just have to live with it?Thanks.

I know that doesn't make anyone feel happy or anything, but there are some things unrelated to this issue that need to be resolved prior to making any announcements.

Unfortunately, all I can say right now is that we are aware of the problem. Until official notification is made, we can't give any information regarding if/how/when this may be resolved.I know that doesn't make anyone feel happy or anything, but there are some things unrelated to this issue that need to be resolved prior to making any announcements.

I have a gold acct and played Marble Blast for about 8 hours straight. I finally managed to get my wife involved and she absolutely adores the game.
We create a silver level account for her (It's possible it went into a free month gold activation, but I created the account as silver)
She played a few levels
I changed the profile to mine while playing the game. I did not fully exit the game first.
Play a level.
Check leaderboards... nothing, just my name, not hers, not any of my several friends playing, nothing.
Check her account, her friend (me) shows up.
Leaderboard appears to work for her now, but nothing on mine.
Hopefully you can duplicate this now.
Reboots, exitiing fully, nothing I've tried seems to bring the leaderboard back.

I'd like to update this. This morning I unlocked an achievement and my complete leaderboard is back. Hoping you can reproduce and fix this lil bug!

The original poster said the problem re-appeared when he had 11 friends and disappeared when he had 10.
Anyways it's fixed for me until I add any more firends I guess. I hope this helps you guys narrow down where the problem in the code is that causes this.

Someone on the xbox.com forums discovered what causes it. Apparently if you have more than 10 people on your friend's list, that causes the glitch. I deleted everyone but 9 people from my friend's list and it fixed the problem for me.The original poster said the problem re-appeared when he had 11 friends and disappeared when he had 10.

Really? Huh. Ok, we thought we found it somewhere else, but I will add that to the list.

I think it might be under 10 as it goes coz i didn't notice one of my friends wasn't showing so i deleted another and his times appeared...strange

When I had 56 friends on my list -- no friends leaderboard. When I added a 57th -- bam, it appeared again. Maybe it's an evens/odds situation?

One thing I did notice, since my friends list now works, is that there is no order to it. I may have the best time on a level out of all of my friends, but I might be 30th on the list. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and have spent many many hours on it. The friends list was annoying, the order in the list is just nitpicking on my part.
Normally, I wouldn't even mention something so trivial, but sometimes I feel like a beta tester for the whole XBLA program. Hardwood put out a faulty product with Hearts and Spades, Ninja Bee messed up with the achievements in Outpost Kaloki, and then MBU had the leaderboard problems.
But really, I'm a satisified customer. Awesome game.

I'm not sure what actions have been taken by MS or the devs here, but my friends list is working now. I have added a couple friends since the original problem, but I don't remember exactly how many or if my friends list is now on an even or odd sequence. One thing I did notice, since my friends list now works, is that there is no order to it. I'm really glad Garage is aware of the problem. This really ruins the game for me, since competing with friends is the whole reason I got this. That "if/when/how"worries me, though; "if" it doesn't get fixed, I spent 800 points on a broken product.

I also dont like the IF part. I want my game to work. Works fine under my second gamer tag (which has 1 friend which is my first gamertag), but not on my first gamertag
