Suggestions on learning scripts

by J Mills · in Torque Game Engine · 01/16/2006 (11:18 pm) · 2 replies

I would like to get back into working with torque and towards a game, but I have quite a bit on my plate currently. Between last semester of highschool, a part time job that I work about 25(+/-) hours a week at, co-adminning a BF2 server, and having an account to an mmo(EVE Online). I would like to multi-task even further however, and start learning script for torque. It seems the only way to do this is to sit down and do it in the editor, however, which is where my problem comes in. Does anyone have any suggestions of ways I can learn script while I'm not sitting at my computer? Like, say, during school, when I have free time?

You could buy Kenneth Finney's book. ( the first one )

Got it, but even most of its learning is stuff that you need to be sitting at the computer to comprehend.
