i agree, but when one is penniless? and i also wanted to know where requests are posted. sort of like asking someone the time on the street, not really worth a penny...

Here's the quick link:
www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=category&qid=109
The Resources section is the central repository for all things Torque-design related. These guides are in a couple of different places for different aspects of the process (i.e. exporting, scripting, etc.).
Likewise, several motivated individuals are beginning to gather the various tips and tricks posted in the forums, and are compiling them into master lists of questions and answers.
It seems that they eventually end up in the Documentation Section:
www.garagegames.com/docs/torque/index.php
Hope that helps.

I found one example of a design doc template that I liked by the folks at Gas-Powered Games. Of course, your mileage may vary.Dave Myers

If you do, you'll be having an incredibly dry, but organized design document. That isn't a bad thing if you are a good technical writer... unfortunately, a few months back I gave that template to our lead designer and what he ended up producing could only be described with this statement: "You know that movie Battleship Earth? Well, that was GOOD compared to this."
I reccomend working hand in hand with the template and some complete design documents. The best place to look for varying design dcouments I've found is Digipen "university". Do a search for them, and you'll find a page that has 5-8 FULL design documents for their games... it confuses me how they can come up with such cheesy game ideas though :P "Mall Monsters"? lol!

One warning about using that template... don't follow it verbatim. If you do, you'll be having an incredibly dry, but organized design document. thanks for the help guys... Matt, I know you were j/k, but you have to remember, no one's going to do their best work for a school download page. you save the good ideas for after you graduate ;)

It really isn't the best resource, but compared to nothing it sure is helpful! hehe, if you want a tutorial ask around... just make sure you return the favor when you learn something that isn't documented much.
Nothing annoys me more than "gimmie gimmie" people. Take a penny, leave a penny...
