I'm definetly having a broblem with the milkshape exporter to DTS.

I was wondering if anyone could help me, The problem is the weapon mount points are messed up, IE they are turned in random directions

and the look and head, and headside animations don't seem to be working I was wondering if they changed these in TGE 1.4??

First thing, which exporter are you using?
The one that ships with Torque or the DTSExporterPlus which is found on this site? www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=5894

Secondly, in Milkshape, there's an option to Zero the nodes. It's under the tools menu I think. You need to do that otherwise the orientation of the nodes is all over the place.

The head animations are blend animations I think. You'll need to set the blend flag in the animation editor (on DTSExporterPlus)

Hope this helps.

(make a backup of your model before you zero your nodes just in case it doesn't work.)

Two moderator items:

  • This question was asked in the wrong forum. It should be in the Torque Art Public Area >> DTSExporter:MilkShape forum area. If you cannot currently see this area, you should edit your forum subscriptions.
  • [li]It's best to ask new questions in separate threads (in the correct forum!), as well as search using the google search engine (part of the web page, use the search box above)--this question has been asked and answered quite a few times in the past.
