Model poly count limit

Hi there everyone. ^_^

what is the normal poly count for your torque game and/or the suggested torque polycount in general?

This is no limit but...

2000 give or take 500 for players
1000 max for weapons


That's what I'm going with right now. We'll see how it works out.

It really depends on how much stuff you are going to have of the screen at a given time. if you only have like 4 models in a room tehn they poly count can be like 5000 or more, if you plan on having 50 models in sight at once tehn try to keep it lower than 1000. It also depends on the clients computer, newer computers will be able to deal with a higher poly count, older computers will run better with a lower poly count.

Thanks Ben, I will keep that in mind ^_^ I am planning to have around 25-30 models but i have have not finalized my plan yet. I'll let you guys know how it works out ^_^

Well, settings are working under the idea of about 20 players viewed at once all holding one weapon.

That's not couting the detailed levels.
