MinGW and 1.4

Is MinGW still a supported way of compiling torque 1.4 under windoze ?
I was using this fine up through 1.3, but now I'm running into trouble with 1.4 and it feels like more than just the changes to my environment that are causing the problems. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to resolve them as its unclear to me if this is still supported.
Just curious before I go beating my head against another wall, :-).

Strange, I searched and I'm inclined to believe that google missed it. In fact sorting by date, the most recent mingw post I saw was from Jan 2005. Oh, well, something to look at.
