I have checked and torque is not in my home directory. Here is what I have done, I have set the binary file as an executible then I click on it to run it, it comes up fine showing the welcome screen and the user license but when I click next after the user license it in a sense closes it self with out letting me chose a directory or showing the install bar.

there is a thread in the forums that resolves this, I can not recall off the top of my head.. It is either setting or unsetting the default display to 0 from xwindow then running the installer.
The issue is not with TGE but with the installation app itself.

In any event, more information about what happened or didn't happen might help someone troubleshoot your problems. Are you sure it didn't install ? Sometimes the installers install to the directory you ran them from without asking you for a destination. Where that might be really depends on how you launched the .bin file.
Check your home directory and the directory where the .bin resides to see if something didn't get dumped in there.
