Mirrors on Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 and Radeon 7000

I was doing some testing of my game on a couple of computers and it appears that these 2 cards have the exact same problem with mirrors in 1.4.
They won't display the mirror all the time and if the player pans across it it pops in and out and sometimes has diagonal lines in the reflection.
I tested on a clean version of 1.4 and get the same thing.
I try it on 1.3 and no problems.
I know these are older cards but it did work on them in 1.3.
And both computers had there drivers updated. That was the first thing I thought was wrong.

I have not devoted alot of time to fix it as it is beyond my skill level.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this.
On my low-end test system, I'm using a GeForce FX 5200 with 128 MB ram. I updated drivers about a month ago. And, on a slightly modified 1.4 starter.fps (no rendering changes) the mirrors work great for me. Yes, there is some wierdness when I first drop them in, but it goes away after recalculating the lights in the mission. I have had problems when resizing my mirrors though, so that could be an issue with yours as well.
If you want to try out the mirror .DIFs that I'm using, I can post them here.
By the way, I haven't tried this on a clean 1.4 build, but I figured if it would run my slightly modified app, then a clean version shouldn't give me any problems either. I usually get myself in trouble when I assume stuff, so if you want me to try again with a fresh version, just let me know and I'll test it out.

I just posted this rendering issue, which is being attributed to my ageing radeon-7000. Just thought i'd cross-reference, as they may or may not be related.

If you're still interested in this, I can check it out on my test system at the office next week. It has a 5200 in it. I'm getting to this kind of late, but if you've already found a solution or have conducted more extensive tests, that's cool.
