Setting up a world

I am gonna make a world for my portfolio, and too get really used to the art workflow with Torque, but I was wondering if there is any problems or anything like that, if I showcase it in my portfolio? I will included used with the torque engine.

Also I want pretty dynamic lighting, I dont have the money just yet to buy the engine, and lighting tool. That is why I am trying to get a portfolio up, and my web design stuff up so I can some money doing websites then invest in game development. Should use the lighting demo or the torque 4 demo?

Dylan - You can set up your world using the TGE demo... All you will basically be doing is some basic scripting and creating a mission or multiple missions which are stored in .mis files.

Once you have the money, or if the TLK (Torque Lighting Kit) allows you to, you can use it and simply transfer your .mis files, scripts, and models over to the TLK to have a lit mission.

I don't see why you couldn't post screenshots of the world without a license... you just can't post a working build.

If you created something really nice, and wanted to showcase it it would advertise the Torque engien very well and GarageGames might be willing to give you a license for free.

I hope you're monitoring this... I'm just trying to answer some of the unanswered forum posts :)
