Hover Vehicle Shadows...

Me again, and as usual, dealing with hovers.
I have a pretty basic mesh that is skinned (haven't gottne aroudn to animation yet) and has no LOD meshes assigned.
Collision is a simple bounding box and other than that, it's a "no frills" object for testing purposes.
Thing is, it doesn't cast a shadow - at all... ever.
I'm wondering if there's something I've missed somewhere in setting up my model, but can't for the life of me imagine what.
Any help is appreciated.
