Ok, I know this isn't really game dev stuff. But I just had to mention that today was the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's death.

Some of you may not like the Beatles or Lennon. But if there are people who liked John and the Beatles, I wrote a poem remembering John over on my blog: Remembering John

R.I.P. John.

What if they made a game where you played John Lennon as an undead bent on revenge?
Forget about Jesus or the second coming...Undead John Lennon will save us!!!

Sheesh, Simon. Have some respect will ya?

I know where I was that day, Dallas. Dark day for our generation.

I have the greatest respect possible for that man, N. If my JOKE seemed harsh, well...Can't say I'm sorry but I AM stupid, if that makes you feel better.

Moving poem Ben. And great thread.

Wish John was still here to share his words of wisdom...we could sure use him now.

RIP...

P.S. Please don't make us listen to Yoko sing... that's torture.

It also happens to be the 16th anniversary (okay, + 2 days) of the Montreal Polytechnique Massacre : 14 young engineering students, all women, gunned down by a phallocratic nutcase.
RIP Ladies

He was before my time, but I have a lot of respect for his work. It makes me wonder what the hell happened to my generation... The questioning, backboned masses of the previous generation have been replaced by a generation of subserviant conformists and self-loathing apologists.

Where are our heros for today? His work is more important and *relevant than ever. RIP

Today's heroes are around. I think they're just harder to find for reasons you stated, Bryan. 'Peace Mom' Cindy Crawford is giving the Establishment hell. Actors and musicians are still carrying the torch for protesting though not as much as they did in the '60s.
