Torque Interiors

Torque is known for its great terrain engine, But I was wondering. If I wanted to have a game mostly interior is it possible to turn off the terrian engine? And if I could how would I go about loading interior maps? Do I create a interior map in Quark and load it and turn off the terrian engine?

Ok, so I can turn off the terrain? And what about a mix between interior and exterior?

Torque uses portals for interior and exteriors so the engine stops rendering terrain when indoors. It's all in the demo download it and check it out.

Another question, for adding object details, do I load the map and place .DTS while I am using the torque editor? or can I import files into Quark and use that for detail?

You need to load and place them in the editor. 3D World Studio is working on a mission exporter for a single-level editing tool.

Bejong you can add what is called detail brushes which is non bsp collision items for a .dif, each editor does it different.

you can make a map without exterior and place the player inside.
