Mac Tiger (OS 10.4) issues

I presume some of these are known--the sound at least--but bringing other issues up here. I presume most are Torque-specific issues. For those who are paying attention (Justin?) and have leads into the Torque camp, please pass these on if not known already. Feel free to forward/copy as relevant.
1) The sound1 fix posted on the Lore thread worked for me.
http://www.darkhorizons-lore.com/forum_viewtopic.php?27.9609
2) Orbz now ghosts out the minimize (yellow-orange) button at times on folder (directory) windows after quitting Orbz. Restarting Orbz and quitting it right away has toggled the minimize button back on so far.
3) Definitely problems with mappack maps loading for others when running a server. See Hoodie's post for some more details.
4) Possible problem with mappack maps (Divine Garden at least) loading for self when host(?) [the person chosing and starting the games] on the mappack servers.
5) Most of the time the stars explode/are hit before the orb actually hits them. (Some other timing issues more prevalent as well.)
6) Seem to be going through objects (stars, accelerators, transporters) more often than before.
7) Possible/likely new problem with shot control since installing the 10.4.3 OS X update: Played 2 games where everything worked fine but then the mouse control went completely wacko beginning on the third game (Rise Above). Mouse button didn't work at all for a while then would work to varying degrees. Sometimes could get normal shot but sometimes it would shoot a dribble shot right away even though mouse button still held down. Cleaned mouse and it still did it. Quit Orbz, tested mouse function, and restarted Orbz, went back into play (now on Divine Garden) and it was still doing it. Quit Orbz and thoroughly tested mouse behavior in Finder windows and it was working fine.
That's all I can think of at the moment. Will post more issues or clarifications later if relevant.

A small point on 2. It seems to have replaced the disappearing cursor which I was plagued with before. This is a definite improvement since I can start and quit Orbz to get it back as opposed to the disappearing cursor where I had to reboot (near blindly) my whole machine. :)

On 7.: Played for a while tonight and it was working fine. Then had a long freeze at the end of a game (Rise Above) and freeze ended just as Slack's Egyptian level started. But that weird mouse behavior was there. But, I don't think it's lag as one of the issues is clicking and holding the mouse without releasing at all and it shoots a dribble shot as if you'd quickly clicked and released.

(Now to take determine if it's the mouse (most likely) or something else.)

Nevermind on the mouse issue. I'm starting to get that behavior outside of Orbz.(Now to take determine if it's the mouse (most likely) or something else.)

(Posting this in case anyone was worried about the 10.4.3 update.)

Yeah, when I came on last night for a few games I was kinda curious to see if I would see those problems. It seemed alright...just my usual bumping into stuff and overshooting things.

1. There is a fix for Torque now which addresses the sound issue. The work around that the Lore guys came up with does work but it's clunky. We will have to patch the game in order to fix this properly - whee!
2. That is the first time I've heard about the problem and have logged it in the bug tracking database for Orbz. You are probably right that it's a low level Torque fix - and might actually be fixed in the latest version of Torque. Again, this will probably require a patch to fix.
3. You guys probably realize this already, but if all players don't have exactly the same set of courses installed - there will likely be problems loading courses. It sounds like you have verified that all players have just the Course Pack v4 installed so there may still be other problems here. I would be kind of surprised if this was a Mac related problem. I'll have to organize a time with you guys to do some multiplayer testing.
4. I'm guessing this is the same issue as #3 unless there is something I'm missing.
5 and 6. These issues are related to lag. Is this happening on the Course Pack servers then? It might be time for a reboot.
7. At first read, this could be related to lag too. Try hosting and playing on your own server. Does the mouse bug still happen?
