Quark rounded surfaces?

Can Quark and the map/dif format build and include smooth, round shapes?
I am trying to get a circular column, but I just keep getting a lot of planar faces instead when viewing it in TGE.
Must I use dts for all the round, smooth shapes I would need?

Yes, thank you. But I meant if it is posible to smooth out polygons as you do in any modeller. Looks like everything is made of straight planes. I can get a good looking smooth cilinder with a 8 sides section, just by setting it to smooth. Is there something similar in Quark? How can I build a smooth sphere for a map?

but to answer your question i dont think theres anything like that in quark. i dont know about cshop though.

Not really. theres big differences between regular modeling programs and brush-based editors. the only thing you can do which may be somewhat useful, is using the cut tool to divide faces. you can then move vertices and rotate faces, but beware, this can quickly lead to chaos because once the faces are cut, the vertices dont stay together like in modeling programs. but to answer your question i dont think theres anything like that in quark. i dont know about cshop though.

Yes, but bezier surfaces are not supported in map2dif.EDIT: Changed "included" to "supported".
