Something weird with tiles and sprites

by Adam Johnston · in Torque Game Builder · 10/13/2005 (10:30 am) · 7 replies

I was trying to make my scroller *from the scratch* but right
now I found something weird with the size of the animated
sprite:
even when I'm using the calculated relative sizes it displays so little
in a corner of the screen when it must to be in the center, if it jumps out of the
tile map it recovers its calculated size and shows in the center.
Someone knows why or has a tip?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Can you post some screenshots, and some code relating to the definition and positioning of the sprite probably wouldn't go amiss :)

It's really weird because my scroll demo doesnt' have this
weird behavior, the first was only a modification of the T2D directory
following the tutorial, I'm trying to do now a mod, just in case I'm going to
recheck everything, if I don't find nothing I'll post some screenshoots
thank you for caring :)

I know I hate my graphic card (Matrox G400)...
I was wondering why my sprites don't load well
in my *from scratch* project:
well I moved every piece of my old demo and finally
isolated the bug (sometimes T2D is like a big
dreadful jigsaw puzzle but i'm still learning...)

>>> animated sprites doesn't show with
the correct size in my card in OpenGL only in D3D
sadly in D3D I can't obtain fullscreen... grrr
I'm posting this in the bugs forum...

Maybe we need to post a list of cards that can do T2D, only for information.

Seems to be a Matrox only problem though,
everything works just fine on my Ati and Nvidia cards.
Even my Mom's Intel 915 Graphics Chip does the Job ;)

Some SiS chipsets have displayed this problem as well.
