Hey, I was just Wondering what the plans are for Torque Game Engine 2, as to whether or not it's currently in development, and if a special version of Torque Shader Engine is also going to come out with it, or if it's gonna work out for both, Any Input?

It's just the 3D application for models and levels right?

Nope its an engine all in itself...its essentially TGE with shaders and other graphical enhancements.

So If I bought TSE, then I wouldn't need TGE,
however the current way of doing things to buy TSE at 150 is to have TGE, hmmh,
But If I had TSE then I wouldn't need TGE?

That's probably because it's EA at the moment. When it reaches final I wouldn't be surprised to see the price go up by $100, but TGE ownsership no longer becomes a requirement.

The EE price is $250, which is $100 for TGE and $150 for the add-on of TSE.

From the TSE page:Quote:There is dual license for TSE planned with an 'indie'license for $295 and a commercial license for $995 available with a special early adopters price of $150 for license owners of the Torque Game Engine.

TGE itself is still evolving and improving with various revisions. That should also be in your consideration.
By no means has TGE become obsolete. It's potential is just being tapped..

Right now you need to first purchase TGE then you can access (buy into) the TSE EA program.TGE itself is still evolving and improving with various revisions. That should also be in your consideration.
