Can some save the .ma file as an .obj and .bvh files please

Hello Maya users,

I'm trying to setup a Blender Torque filepack like you have for Maya.

In the filepack, there are .ma and .mb Maya scene files.

Blender cannot use these directly, but can use .obj files (for mesh) and .bvh fies (animation)
There is a Blender script that can build the bones from the .bvh files.

Getting the file converted would help make a Blender Torque filepack and provide another art pipeline available to Torque users.

Any help appreciated thanks.

(Note I have posted something similar in the 3ds Max Art Forum)

Thanks
Dave

Hi,

Does anyone think this can be done?

Please do not double post, you only need to post one message regarding your question or concern, if someone can respond and is able to help you out they will. Repeatedly asking and making multiple posts is looked down upon in this community.

You can export maya meshes to .obj's, but Maya only exports animation to it's default formats. There may be a plug in somewhere, but I have never seen it.

Hello,

I see your view of this being a double post, but did not think of it that way.

Since these Art forums are pointed to specific software packages, I thought that posting in the two forums that have a filepack would be beneficial.
Not everyone who uses Max is going to look in the Maya forum and vice versa.

Thanks for the info.
