Standalone LevelEditor

Hi,
one Question, has anyone a Standalone LevelEditor in his plans ???

With LevelEditor i mean a Editor, that can load an save Missions without starting the Game. So you can begin with a new Map without Blanktemplate.
An Editor that has a MissionEditor, TerrainEditor and an InteriorEditor integrated.
Just like the UnrealEditor, only better ;)

Why?

The editor provided is more than adequate, and it actually shows how things will look in game. Worldcraft and UnrealED don't do that.

I think you're just switching over from some other game and a bit lazy to learn a new editor. Am I right?

Yes i came from the unrealworld, but that's not the reason of my question (i'm the coder of my team).

And i don't want to change the Terrain Editor or the Mission Editor, but i you have a Integrated Interior Editor, you can Map in one Editor and you can paste Terrain, Interior and Mission much faster.
Also you can intergrate such things like Botpathing in the hole Mission (indoor and outdoor).
You can see very fast how the interact the interior and the terrain.

It's really a minor inconvenience. You build your objects outside of the TGE, convert them and then just drop them into the mission. Conversion to format and dropping it in is only a matter of minutes. What's the hurry?

Sure it'd be nice to have everything integrated: interior fabrication, texture editing, modeling, etc. etc. But it'd be a bigger pain in the arse for Garage Games to implement something like this into the engine now. Alot more effort than there is return.

In the two years I've been working with WC and the V12\TGE, I've never seen a hinderance using WC for the interiors. It's actually pretty quick if you read the documentation and learn the program. Now ZED was a different story. Heh ;)

You can always go the route of paying $100 for the SDK and integrating new editors yourself. :)
