Sphere terrain How many would use it?

I have been playing around with Torque and finding it a very easy engine to use.
But one thing it is missing is the ability to make sphere terrain. Well most games would not need sphere terrain but it could be extremely useful for making the space simulators where you could have asteroids that could be deformed when a ship crashed into them or.
Flight sims.
I am just wondering if plugin were made that would support sphere terrain in Torque how many would use it?

While I have a few more projects that are higher on the to-do list, i'm gunna get around to it ;)
oh, and Chris: yea, the terrain is pain in general, but it'll be worth it to gut the sucker and make everything a tad more pleasant ;)
I've been messing with it for the past bit, and i'm getting a pretty decent handle on it. If i cant gut the terrain entirely, i could probably suffice with an addon to the current system that allows spherical terrains. We'll have to see when i get there.

Yes, well, while i cant say it's currently on th top of my list, i have been meaning to work on spherical terrains, both for my pourposes, and for some other people's.While I have a few more projects that are higher on the to-do list, i'm gunna get around to it ;)

I'd pay $500.00 for Atlas Spherical Terrains

Why not just wait for the real time editors to roll around and just make a spherical planet out of a few(or many) seperate Atlas terrains? I think the main problem is not getting "spherical" terrains, but rather, curved water blocks.

I don't have a TSE license (yet), but as near as I can tell from the descriptions I've seen of Atlas it only supports rectangular terrain chunks. That means (at minimum) you'd need to tweak Atlas to support triangular terrain chunks in order to be able to create properly spherical terrain. The curved (or triangular) water blocks would be another step, followed up by gravity that pulls toward a particular point rather than in a particular direction.

Does this mean your considering Selling an add on or plugin for spherical terrains.
Been following your work the last couple of days and I got say its looking great so far.
Anyway I'd definately be interested in this funtionality.
