Text editor?

Okay here's the deal, I have a text editor...I just don't know how to use it or what it does. could someone clue me in on that?

Here's how you use them:
1. get up from chair
2. unplug the computer
3. sell the computer
4. sit on couch and watch TV and never touch a computer again
This should lead to a happy life for you.

I thought the recient post on "how do i find the .exe binary, all i see is t2d.exe" was bad.....oh wait, that one is still possibly worse than this one.
