No Details to Export-3DS Max 7

I am a total novice at this stuff and I am using torque to create movie "sets." I have bunch of premade 3d models that I am trying to export using the plug-in for 3d Studio Max 7. With every model I keep getting No Details to Export...I have gotten around my original error which was No bounding box found. Would creating the box called bounds cause the no details to export errors and if so, how do I get around it?

which is just a dummy object called "detail*" , where "*" is the pixel size at which that level of detail should be shown..
for each detail marker you need a mesh with the corresponding number after its name
so if i had a detail32 dummy i would have a mesh called mesh32 ...
this mesh would show up after the model gets bigger then 32 pixels
and heres something to fill in the blanks and explain me jargon
