Well, I just a few hours ago bought the Torque engine. And so far I have been reading through the Getting Started Docs to just start to get a feel for the engine.
So I thought I would also make a post and ask if anyone has any tips/pointers/recommendations as to where I should start now that I have the engine? I'm not quite looking to make anything much with the engine yet (i'm sure that will take some time), I just want to understand better and learn the engine as well as I can, so that when I want to make something, I will know where to go.
So, if anyone has any thoughts, please let me know.
I'm looking forward to being a member of this community.
Thanks for the help. :-)

I was exactly in the same boat last week. What i did though was that i bought the book 3D Game Programming All In One which is dedicated to the Torque engine. So far i just got it and am on page 113, and its pretty interesting. Although i just did repetitive stuff, like how to program scripts, it seems to be well written although the version of torque used is a little outdated as i have seen some senior members post on the forum (I could be wrong). But anyways, i feel as i have learned quite a bit from it. What do others think.
Have fun with it. It's quite hard to try to figure out how to start. I am still trying to figure out that.

Yep 3D Game programming book is almost a must for a newbie, also check Esential Guide To Torque Game Engine EGTGE.zip in resources or something like that, and the best place for anything you need is definetly this community, you wont find community like this in other places and belive me I tried other game engines before torque....Welcome aboard!!!
