Looking for help, pointers, or suggestions

Hello everyone.
I picked up torque a few days ago. Although it is very overwhelming all the things you can do with this engine. I am in the process of learning C++ and have a friend who is learning how to make models and animations. I have tried out a few tutorials. We eventually would like to make an rpg but after looking at that daunting task we decided we should start we something a bit easier until we get better.
So..we decided we would try to make a very simple tank game. Player vs player. I am currently trying to find a tutorial or some guidance on how I can take a tank that I have a model for and use that instead of the orc for the player. I have already figured out how to make a brand new mission area and got one running great.
Any help, pointers, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Keith

Down load the demo of think tanks, thats full of creative ideas. If you like it buy it.

I dont think I want to get the tank pack yet. Basically at this point I am trying to find out how to put in a vehicle. Everytime I try so far I get an invis car (basically just the camera moving). I would like to understand how to take a model (there are some free ones on turbo squid) and put those into the racing starter pack. Ive been looking at the scripts and it looks like most of the configuration for getting a vehicle is in the car.cs. I just can't seem to comprehend how it works.

To be honest I would just use the tank pack, even if you dont want to use the models its a good chance to cut down the development time of your game and the learning curve. If you really dont want to buy it though you could have a good rake through the tutorials and resources on say "vehicles weapons".ps. this is about the closest thing i've seen so far:
