Vue 5 environmental stuff

These videos show off the New Vue D'Esprit 5. Seems to be marketing itself now as a high powered rendering engine with serious environmental effects, consistent with the Vue tradition:

I tried Vue a few years ago but did not know it was moving toward rendering 'movies'. I always played with making still photos. But the motion is nice...especially the short underwater scene.

I also like the idea of being able to do the environment in Vue then coordinate with models and animation from another package like XSI. For example, you could create the scene in Vue, then the character/vehicle and animation in XSI, then render the whole thing in Vue together. I haven't tried this out though, but the demo looked promising.
