Here's a model I am creating in prep for work on a real time combat sim I'm attempting to start up. The model is around 2200 tri's inclusive of all gear and the character mesh. I think I used one 512x512 for the character, a single 128x128 for his hat, holster and mag pouch, and a 256x256 for the weapon. Let me know what you think. And if anyone wants to help out with the project.....I really could use a solid programmer that's familiar with Torque and its AI/Art/Networking pipelines and other modelers/scripters.

My buddy's the animator. We're still both working on the rigging (kinda learning at the same time). Once we get the kinks out with the torso and waist he'll be starting in on the anim's. I've seen his other stuff so I'm confident they'll be tight. Oh and, the mag pouches on his chest and the butt pack aren't textured yet (as if that needed mentioning).

Thanks, Karl. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a project just yet. I'd been working on this and several other units a while back along with a core design. Unfortunately I wasn't able to drum up enough interest to get a skilled programmer and possibly a designer or two on board. I'm not sure if it's possible......but that hasn't stopped me from trying. I also want to learn as much about Torque's RTS pack as possible but seeing as I'm not a programmer and you have to pay for each seat, I don't want to invest the money in the engine until we can find someone who's skilled at programming and is dedicated to this. We'll see, but until then, I'll keep up with this. Maybe I'll post some of the other guys as I complete them.

You could always start selling content packs for areas of TGE that are lacking in content. You have the skill, there is no doubt about that. The model looks great!B--

@Brandon: Maybe after this project.....but for now I'd like to maintain creative control over the assets I'm making. Thanks for the compliment, though. Anyone here that could refer a decent programmer to me? I can't afford to pay anyone as my day job pays not so much. But I really would like to get started on this in a very serious and structured way.......and having an experienced programmer is the first step in this.
