Player death animation

A weird bug recently appeared as the death animation for players are called - it goes through the animation fine, with the player on the ground, then he springs back up as if there wasn't an animation.
I double checked in the scripts and can't find anything on it - it must be something I changed in player.cc without realizing i broke the animation. If anyone is familiar with where to look in player.cc, thatd be really helpful.
I looked around in there, but as of now, i haven't gotten close to narrowing down the problem. Thanks
