Center of the universe? Maybe.
Capable of voting in a mayor other than a bad furniture sales-man? Not likely.
Capable of shovelling your own driveways without the aid of the military? Definitely Not.
I'd rather live 400km away from the center of the universe but be able to shovel my drive way and not hate my mayor everytime I saw a "Bad Boy" ad :P
By then, that's my opinion :)
