Not using BSP

Hi.

I'm a game developer, having made 3d games with macromedia director for the past five years. Since macromedia doesn't care about director anymore, I need a new platform, and I'd like to pick torque.

While evaluation TGE/TSE there is one thing that I keep running into:

environments need to be built using BSP modelling tools.

The artists I work with know max inside out, and I would like to stay at the productivity level we're at with our current toolset. Teaching these totally nontechnical guys how bsps work, or even telling them they now need to use some other modelling tool because of some technical reason is something I really do not want to do, especially as with our current toolset, they can author in max, and everything is dandy.

Now my question is, what kind of trouble would I run into with torque if I want to not use BSP's for my building/environment rendering?

I do not mind the associated performancehit. For my projects, speed of development is much more important than frames per seconds.

I also don't mind having to do my own collision detection.

If I take these two downsides for granted, are there any other problems I'm likely to run into?

I hope someone with expirience in this area can share some of it.

Thanks,

Lucas
