Maya 6.5 Linux/Mac exporters.

From what I can see the exporter for maya 6.5 is currently only available for windows. Has anyone compiled a version for either Linux or the Mac from the source recently posted?
Also does anyone here use Maya in Linux? If so how do you find it runs, have you had any problems with it? So far I've only used PLE which is not available for Linux.
