Andrew, you do not need the Character Studio Biped skeleton to export your models into the Torque engine and have them run. You can create a skeleton through the use of "bones" or other similar objects to achive the same result (as mentioned in Joe's DTS Exporting Documentation).

To answer your second question, Biped is a part of Character Studio. Information on Character Studio and how to purchase it can be found at www.discreet.com (I believe that it runs at a MSRP of $1200.00 for a commercial liscense). If you are a student you can go to www.journeyed.com and possible purchase an educational copy for a vastly discounted price if you qualify.

Hope this helps you out.

The biped object can be found in your create/systems panel inside of your version of Max (as mentioned in the manuals and tutorials that come with Character Studio).

If you are having troubles finding the options that Character Studio installs this is what I recommend:
1) Check your documentation to see if you are looking in the right place or if you need to do something to have the option available.
2) Check to see if the necessary plugin's for it were loaded or if there are any error messages that have been generated by the plugin trying to load. If you still have problems you should try reinstalling Character Studio.

Hope this helps
