Textures missing from custom levels

I am very sure I have done everything right.
Just downloaded all the custom levels in one zip file. I am on a PC by the way.
I put the mission files in the marble\data\missions\custom folder. I had to make the custom folder which I though was a bit strange. Anyway...
Then I put the interiors files in the marble\data\interiors folder.
Ran the game, loaded a custom level. The problem seems to affect most of the levels. All the surfaces are there, but in a pale cream or blue colour, which I presume is how the game overlays light and shadow on surfaces. So there's no pattern to any of the surfaces.
Also, when I fall off the level, the marble falls infinitely, with no apparent level boundary.
Did I do something wrong, or is there a problem?
Thanks in advance

ADDITION:
Actually, its affected the whole game. So I've probably moved something to the wrong place somewhere. Any hints on what I could try to put this back?

I was thinking of reinstalling it as you suggested Solo, but I didn't want to loose any level progress or high scores.
So, I installed on another machine and compared the interiors folder between the two computers. I had inadvertently moved the standard files beloning to that folder when I was moving around the custom interiors wondering why they didn't work. So I moved them all back.
Anyway, its all playable and looks good. Here's to hours of level playing and sidetracked use of time!

Good idea for others to use if they have a spare computer. Thx for getting back on this. solo.
