As far as CartShop is concerned glass is just a texture like anything else. There was a thread about translucency/transparent textures on our forum that might be helpful to you.

Hi, been using Cart shop 4.1 for a few days and I love it. Just one problem. I can't get transparency at all. In CS it looks fine, but export the dif and convert the tga to png (with alpha-that is another kettle of worms) and all I get in Torque 1.3 is a white surface where it should be invisible. I have gotten Torque to show glass before by exporting a DTS file from Milkshake, but these CS difs are not showing transparency.

Any thing I can do to fix this? I had to throw Photoshop CS2 away and go back to PS 5.5 in order to get alpha channels in the pngs. Adobe needs their head examined.

I hate to say it, but I hope I'm totally overlooking something here. and it's an easy fix.

Do a search for transparency and interiors. There's a couple of threads on it. Not CS, but DIF in general.

Personally, I like the DTS solution because I like damage.

If you want something along the lines of say... shattering glass, you are better off using dts geometry for your glass and perhaps even scaling your windows to fit.
