Lets get gory

Hmm.. well this is not your usual innocent little thread question here, So Im going to assume we are grown ups here and just ask, however if you are not a grown up or you just dont have the stomach for this sort of topics, well then just dont read this thread.
For our game (an action/rpg), we want to have an option for a "realistic mode" since it is a battle game and there will be some swordplay (yeah you know with those really long sharp things that usually made nasty cuts when used) and even some fire play and explosives, we want to know how to add this details into it.
Blood particles, (when weapon hit.)
Detachable limbs ( basically we want to stop rendering a limb)
Gibs (shapes that appear when someone gets Really hurt)
Bodies cut in half. (is a bit trickier than you think)
Players in fire (sure fire particles instead of blood, but how do you put them all over the player?=
Cutscenes (looking the player from another camera angle, has anyone worked in this?)
Damaged models, with skin change (nice healthy player model! turns into eeky damaged model)
Damage on top skins.. (basically we want to add a texture with some cuts on top of the model)
Of course we will add an option to turn this features on and off, but we believe most players will leave them on all the time. ;)
Any info on any of this topics will be apreciated. and if you have a similar question/proposal why not use this thread?
Oh by the way, if you have a similar idea the hitbox tutorial here in garage games is a great resource to start on meelee weapons fighting. And locational damage.(like in counterstrike) great job!
