Polycount limitations of the V12 engine?

Just curious as to what are the acceptable polycounts for player models in this engine? I know the max player number will affect it, but on the average (ie. What is T2 using)? 1500-2000 polys?

i wish i could show you our character models for my game hostile intent but our host shut its doors.
they max out at 750 polys but look much higher. when people first see them they love to give us hell saying "your 1200+ poly models simply wont run with the HL engine guys"
love when they say that :D
