Good animation program out there

by Camel Taylor · in Torque Game Engine · 07/08/2005 (2:51 am) · 2 replies

Hello I was wondering if there wer any good animation software out there wich I could use to animate and then export to MilkShape 3d, I find animating with the program extremly difficult to do so. I tried downloading character FX, but since there was no documentation on it from its web site, or the help files would not work I cold not use the program. If it helps any Im use to using maya control's and interface for modeling and animating.

Well... blender is free. I use Lightwave, it's expensive. As is maya or 3dsmax. I think max is prefered for games for some reason. best bet might be blender. Though i've only played around in it... milkshape is hard to animate with, espectially when you're used to power engines like maya.

Fragmosoft is what would be the next generation of animation. The author is still working hard on it however in it's current state quite usable just no IK limits yet.

20 bucks to register, free to try.
