Ok I'm trying to work out what would be the best control defaults for my racing game. Heres what you can do and what I'm thinking will be the default. but some I'm not sure about so I'd like your input

Forward - w
Backward - s
Turn left - move mouse left or arrow left
Turn right - move mouse right or arrow right
Slide left - a
Slide right - d
Roll left - q
Roll right - e
Pitch up - move mouse forward or arrow up
Pitch down - move mouse backward or arrow down

boosters - x
lift cut - c
parachute -z

do these sound reasonable?

They're great for right handed people..

Left handers tend to prefer the arrow keys and mouse.

If you can bind the directions to both WSAD and the Arrow keys, that'll be cool. (numeric keypad is also useful)

Ok so I will make sure I have them remappable then.

In most games, I've seen them mapped to both. Also, people can remap them if they want.

Sounds like an interesting control set for a racing game... What does lift-cut do? sounds painful.

The vehicles are vector thrust and lift cut will cut all power(except minimal) to engines that keep you afloat, thereby allowing for a rapid descent
