Question about lighting interiors

Since any lights created in worldcraft get processed during the exporting, I am assuming that those light-maps are static (ie. don't change when you tell the engine to recompute lighting). I've tried it and this seems to be the case (you get ambient and sunlight thrown in there but that's it). My question is: is there a way to get the wordlcraft lights to recompute if, say, I put a .dts object in that light area? I suspect that I'm going to have to approach the whole thing from a different angle but could someone confirm this? Or better yet, prove me wrong. :-)
Thanks

Further explanation: There are some objects that I'd rather not model in worldcraft because it's not a general purpose modeller (or skinner). I'd like to be able to place static models (dts models) into the interior structures and have the lighting show that they are there.
Not expecting miracles - just wondering. Thanks.

I wasn't really looking for it to recompute on the fly. I was just wondering if there was a way to do it when I told the level to "relight" itself.Further explanation: There are some objects that I'd rather not model in worldcraft because it's not a general purpose modeller (or skinner).
