Greetings everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about my game project. The game is called Broken Lands and will be an single/multiplayer RTS. It will run on Linux and Mac OS X and use the Torque Engine. I have a team right now but am missing a few people for team positions still unfilled. I curently have a texture artist, concept artist, writer/lead tester, 2 testers, a web designer, a game/web programmer, and team consultant. I still need two more game programmers. I am looking for two people that already have the Torque License, and experience with the engine. So of course these people will also need to have experience with C++. I also am looking for a music designer, and a texture artist. For more info please visit our website at www.openhivegames.com. Please check it out and take a look at our forum. Please feel free to join our forum even if your not interested in becoming a member. You will have access to the community section on the forum. I started OpenHive Games about 2 months ago. We still have a long way to go but are excited about the project and I know this will be a great game. Right now we are in the dev phase of conceptual art and writing. My game programmer and I will be purchasing the Torque Engine license asap, and planning for textures is about to begin. All team positions are not paid as in per hour or anything like that. Once we publish the game each team member will be getting a minimum of 4% of game profits, although testers might get less than that. Thanks for looking at this post, I appreciate how helpful GarageGames.com members have been. I hope to talk to many of you once you've registered on our forum.

Sincerely,

Aaron J. Schieding, Project Manager, OpenHive Games

Just as a note, this game is moving towards resembling games such as Rome: Total War (www.totalwar.com/community/rome.htm), and L.O.T.R.: Battle For Middle Earth (www.eagames.com/official/lordoftherings/thebattleformiddleearth/us/screenshots.j...). I just wanted to give the potential programmers an idea of the direction of the game. Of course I know that the graphics will not be as good as those games, which you already have figured out. We are an indie team, not someone like EA. But theres some more info, you can check out the screenshots to get the idea, also the screenshots on the page for the Torque RTS pack are telling as well. Thanks.
