Demo Submission Resource

When you are ready to start selling your game, what do you do ? well, you set up your website. Get your demo ready to go... work on it to get your conversion ratio (cr) up... Then submit it to shareware sites.

There are a few types of sites you can submit to. Demo sites, and affiliate sites...

A Shareware demo site hosts your demo for download, and links back to your homepage for purchasing.

An affiliate site hosts your demo then links to a buyer site like RegNow or Plimus using an affiliate id number. generally affiliates get about 35% of hte profit from any sales that were made through there sites. But, it is my opinion that putting your site EVERYWHERE possible is hte best way to ensure success.

Portals are HIGH traffic sites that sell games relatively cheap... I listed a few. They send you a royalty, but only accept little puzzly games, and often only flash based games.

you can do this automagically with programs like sharewaretracker or robosoft... but you will find that about 50% of hte sites they submit to are completely irrelevant...

It is easier and more efficent, not to mention it is free, to do it your self...
