Looking for some help here and what better place to look than the website for the engine.
Unknown Abyss is a remake of Earth and Beyond. Enb was a game that lasted exactly 2 years. It was sunseted Sep 22, 2004. There are many people wanting this game to return so my team and I thought about making a game based and inspired by enb. Celtic Software is the company involved in the development of the new game. Unknown Abyss is an mmorpg based in space and you are a pilot in one of three main races. All are terran races (human) and exploration is a huge part of the game. Combat and trade are also key elements, and the community is very important to being successful in the online world it will create. The game is skills based and level based.
We are obviously using the TGE (torque game engine)....
The site for the project's main forum: www.unknownabyss.com
It is a forum just started exactly two days ago. All of the content on the game is on the website above. This is a great oppurtunity and we have a great team so far.
We are trying hard and just need a lead dev. We are working on a new website now and are going to be done texturing the rest of the art for the demo soon also. All game content is available at www.unknownabyss.com (the site is 2 days old)
We are in dire need of programmers, more specifically coders for the demo and game. We want to make a small demo to give the audience a taste of what we're capable of. We already have all other posistions covered as well as a secondary coder. We need a lead developer. The posistion is voluntary but will be a paid posistion upon game release. This is a very important posistion and requires a fairly good deal of time.
What you need:
-AIM username and use it frequently
-Registered name on the Celtic Soft website
-Coding experience
-Must be experienced in Flash, html, C, C++, Visual Basic, Java
-Must be able to code for the Torque game engine (well)
-Be high energy, honest, dependable, creative, and professional
-You must be completely SELF-motivated and be able to meet deadlines
What you get:
-free in-game account(s)
-to test beta and alpha
-pay, after game release
-executive posistion in company
-to add an actual game to your resume
-more experience in game coding
-free gameplay in any and all Celtic Soft products
-free Celtic Soft merchandise (mugs, shirts, hats, mouse pads, posters)
-recognition, respect
-secretary
-work from home
-free reign in any & all of your projects (doing it the way you prefer)
-Choose your hours, break times, days off (work when you want)
-Flexible deadlines
-Secondary coder to help you with your projects

In the company for the game as a whole? There are 3 different jobs available, and we can have 1-2 in one of them, and 2-3 in the other 2 available.
