DTS export and transparency problems

I have been trying to get PNG with transparency to work as textures on my DTS models and it has not completely worked out. The area's of the PNG's where the alpha channel was applied are transparent as I intended however the areas that are meant to be opaque are semi-transparent when previwed on my DTS model in showtools. And when I preview the same DTS model in show tools with those transparent PNG textures removed from the directory some of the untextured faces are sill semi-transparent. See the illstrations.Any ideas how I can have fix this so that the opaque areas are 100%opaque and the transparent areas are transparent? I have been using the superPNG plugin in Photoshop 7 and Maya 5.
This is the DTS geometry with the PNG textures.
This is the DTS geometry with the link to the PNG's broken.

Thanks.

I used the alpha channel layer in the channel tab to create the transparent areas when I originally created the textures. I have a link to the files (99KB zip)if you are interested in seeing what it looks like. Click Here
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I'd check the png file in photoshop or similar program. Because it looks like a grey color could be causing your problem, and you need it to be white.
